How do I duplicate, archive or delete a document library?
Updated over a week ago

You want to duplicate, archive or delete a document library?

Nothing could be easier, just follow these steps: 👇

If you want to sort out your libraries, we always advise you to archive rather than delete. Indeed, by archiving, users will no longer have access to it, but if you want to retrieve information from it later or simply unarchive it, it will be possible. The deletion is final.

To duplicate a document library

  • Click on the "Documents" menu at the bottom left of your screen

  • Enter the document library you wish to duplicate

  • Click on the pencil symbol in the upper right corner

  • Click on "Duplicate this document library"

  • You can duplicate with or without access rules. Duplicating without the access rules means that you will have to add members later. However, with access rules, it will keep the same members in the duplicated library.

  • A new window will appear, and you will be able to edit the library you just duplicated.

To archive a document library

  • Enter the document library in question

  • Click on the pencil symbol in the upper right corner

  • Click on "Archive this Document Library"

If you want to unarchive a library, here's how:

  • Click on the "Documents" menu at the bottom left of your screen

  • Then click on "Archived" at the top. You will find all your archived libraries there.

  • Click on the library you want to unarchive.

  • At the top right, click on the pencil symbol.

  • At the bottom, you can click on "Unarchive this document library".

To delete a document library

  • Enter the document library you want to delete

  • Click on the pencil symbol in the upper right corner

  • Click on "Delete this document library".

Please note that this action is irreversible.

See you soon on Incenteev ! 😉
